Canada Salary After Tax Calculator 2026 — Ontario

Estimate employee take-home pay with a country-specific breakdown of modeled income tax and statutory employee deductions. This calculator uses the effective-dated profile and assumptions shown below.

Current modeled profile: Ontario · claim-code-1 employee · 2026 · Ontario (annualized-payroll)

Canada: Estimate employee take-home pay under the documented 2026 · Ontario profile.
Calculation direction

Modeled as additional employment income under this country profile. Payment-period withholding can differ.

How this calculation works

Annualized payroll: converts pay to an annual basis and estimates deductions using statutory payroll rules.

The calculator applies profile ca-2026-ontario-claim-code-1 (version 2026.2), lists each modeled deduction separately, and subtracts those deductions from gross annual pay. Monthly and weekly values are annual estimates divided by 12 and 52.

What changed this tax year?

This page uses only the current, reviewed 2026 · Ontario profile shown above. Formulexa does not silently reuse current rules for a previous-year comparison: a numerical year-over-year result will appear only after a separate archived profile and regression fixtures have been verified for this exact modeled scope.

Check the official sources below for enacted rule changes outside this calculator's documented assumptions and exclusions.

Assumptions

  • Any entered bonus or commission is treated as additional annual Ontario employment income; payment-period withholding can differ.
  • The employee works and resides in Ontario for the full year, has one employer, is CPP/EI eligible, and uses claim code 1/basic personal credits.
  • The result is an annualized payroll-deduction estimate under the stated basic-credit assumptions.

Not included

  • Other provinces and territories, Quebec (requires QPP/QPIP), dependants, RRSPs, non-cash benefits, transfers between provinces, self-employment and non-resident cases are excluded.

Current rates and country-specific rules

  • V1 is explicitly an Ontario claim-code-1 employee profile, not a province-neutral Canadian formula.
  • Federal and Ontario tax use 2026 brackets and basic credits; Ontario surtax, tax reduction and health premium are included.
  • CPP, CPP2 and Employment Insurance use the official 2026 annual rates and maximums.

Worked example

At CAD 80,000 annual pay, the adapter applies federal and Ontario tax credits, capped CPP/CPP2 bands and the 1.63% EI premium before reconciling net pay.
